WPScan on Windows

How To Install WPScan on Windows
in this post i will show you how to run wpscan on windows , i test it on windows 7 and its work .
Requirements:
cygwin
rubyinstaller
Development Kit for rubyinstaller
curl for windows : libcurl.dll
AddTrustExternalCARoot-2048.pem
1 - install cygwin



how to install follow this link : Installing Cygwin

after install complete you need to add this line "chcp 1252" to Cygwin.bat that locate in cygwin install directory ex : C:\cygwin\

open Cygwin.bat with any text editor

add "chcp 1252" after

@echo off
C:

ex:

@echo off

C:
chcp 1252
chdir C:\cygwin64\bin

bash --login -i

and save file

2 - install rubyinstaller

you must have Ruby 2.1.6 version or less ,, because nokogiri gem not supported on Ruby 2.2.2 for windows

3 - install Development Kit for rubyinstaller

download link : http://rubyinstaller.org/downloads/

how to install : https://github.com/oneclick/rubyinstaller/wiki/Development-Kit

if you face that problem  "unknown encoding name -  (ArgumentError)"

just type "chcp 1252" in cmd and hit enter

4 - install AddTrustExternalCARoot-2048.pem & libcurl.dll

A - download AddTrustExternalCARoot-2048.pem from here : AddTrustExternalCARoot

copy AddTrustExternalCARoot-2048.pem into rubygems ssl_certs folder ex :

C:\Ruby21\lib\ruby\2.1.0\rubygems\ssl_certs\

2.1.0 : your ruby virsion

B - download libcurl.dll

32bit : download

64bit : download

copy  libcurl.dll into ruby bin folder ex :

C:\Ruby21-x64\bin\


5 - Download wpscan and install

Download from official website : WPScan

copy  wpscanteam-wpscan-XXXXXX.zip to cygwin home\user folder ex : C:\cygwin\home\user\

unzip wpscanteam-wpscan-XXXXXX.zip and rename output forder to wpscan

now open cmd in and type these commands

chcp 1252

cd  C:\cygwin\home\user\wpscan

gem install bundler && bundle install --without test

6 - run wpscan

open Cygwin.bat that locate at C:\cygwin\

and type

cd wpscan

./wpscan.rb --url http://www.exmple.com
